Iowa March for Life
Saturday, June 22, 2024
We will not rest until abortion is no longer legal!
While we celebrate the end of Roe v. Wade and federal abortion law, we have work to do in our state! Abortion is still legal in Iowa.
The Iowa March for Life is an opportunity to proclaim the value of all human life and advocate for the protection of life in our law.

What you need to know...
PARKING: Park in designated areas on capitol complex grounds. State offices are closed on Saturday.
RALLY DETAILS: The rally will take place on the steps of the capitol, on the west side of the building facing downtown Des Moines.
The circle drive can be used to drop off people with limited mobility, but cars cannot be parked there and must go to the designated parking areas, per the map.
The rally start time is 1:00, and the march will begin as soon as all invited speakers have had the platform.
The rally will last about 45 minutes and will be in an area with cement benches. Lawn chairs are allowed.
RESTROOMS: The capital is open to the public so indoor restrooms are available on the ground floor. Portable commodes are located outside on the north and south corners of the building, because of the exterior construction taking place.
The West Terrace stage will have sponsor (information) tables before the rally begins. It will host an area for refreshments after the march. Please be mindful and dispose of any trash in the designated trash cans that are in the area.
Once the rally is over, a group has been selected to lead the march with a banner, and to guide us over to the Judicial Building.
