Planned Parenthood in Iowa City is CLOSING! Planned Parenthood announced they will be closing their Iowa City facility on July 31, transitioning all services to their remaining facility in Des Moines. Join us on Saturday, Aug. 1 as we offer prayers of thanksgiving to God for the closure of Planned Parenthood in Iowa City! On Sat., Aug 1, meet at 9:30am on the sidewalk in front of the closed Planned Parenthood building (850 Orchard St. Iowa City). Parking is available in the residential area to the west. Join us afterward at Bruegger's Bagels for coffee and fellowship. |
The prayers and faithful witness of many members of our community have been instrumental in bringing about this long-awaited victory. Pat McTaggart, founder of Johnson County Right to Life, who, together with many dedicated prayer warriors, faithfully gathered outside the Planned Parenthood facility to pray regularly for its closure.

OB/GYN Dr. Christina Francis noted in the video about “abortion pill reversal”:
"If a woman has taken the first medication [mifepristone], and then changes her mind before taking the second medication [misoprostol], then we can give her large doses of progesterone to try and displace the first medication from the receptors and to try and block the effects of any further action from that medication. And in doing so, then, we can lead to having a normal, successful pregnancy. And that happens about 70% of the time."
