"Please join me on a monthly Downtown Prayer Walk." The plan is to meet every 4th Sat. of the month at 6:50 a.m. Anyone who wants to participate should meet me inside the Old Capitol Town Center (at 201 S. Clinton St.) in the food court. (Parking is free at the meters until 8:00). We will read a short scripture, then split up into twos or threes to walk in different directions and pray for about 1/2 hour, then meet back behind the Old Capitol building on the steps around 7:30 for a short closing prayer. The walking prayer time will focus less on personal needs and more for a spiritual transformation of the citizens and the culture of Iowa City, Iowa, and our country. lydia.peller@gmail.com
