Johnson County Right to Life

Our Mission

Johnson County Right to Life believes in the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death, and believes that our society has a responsibility to protect the most vulnerable among us; the unborn, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Our purpose is to educate and inform our community about pro life issues with the ultimate goal of ensuring legal protection of innocent human life.

Spring 2012 - It is time again for the 40 Days for Life Campaign!

We begin on Wednesday, February 22nd and end on Sunday April 1st, 2012.  We will be outside of the Emma Goldman Clinic on Dubuque Street in Iowa City.

We have altered our hours this Spring to help accomodate people who were unable to pray during some of our hours last Fall.

HOURS

Monday 9am-1pm, Tuesday 1pm-5pm, Wednesday 9am-1pm, Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 8am-12 noon  Sat 8-1

40 Days for Life has a website that beautifully explains what it is we do.  We are a prayerful vigil people. Some feel called to sidewalk counsel.  This is done quietly, lovingly and supportively.  We encourage them to try Choices Medical Clinic before making any final decisions. They are provided with information and a map.

Fall 40 Days For Life Results  |  September 28 – November 6, 2011

Total saved over 40 days: 636 of which we are aware.Thank you to all who participated in the Iowa City/Johnson County 40 Days for Life! We know what a sacrifice it is to interrupt our usual, comfortable, schedules to go and stand outside an abortuary and pray for all the men, women, unborn babies, staff and tragically misled abortionists who enter that building. May Our Lord of all that is, look down and bless our acts of compassion, and continue to give us the strength to stand up for what is good and right.

**Thanks to all who went to the Iowa Caucus's and voted!  Your voices were heard!**
